Artist Bio
JOE ROBERTS TRIO
Joe Roberts, the Long Island based pianist and keyboardist launched his Trio project in January of 2013 as an offshoot of the larger group…The Brown Shoe Jazz Ensemble. Joined by fellow Brown Shoe members bassist Dave Ice and drummer Rob LaMonica insured a smooth transition and The Trio quickly took off, playing venues from Western Nassau to Long Island’s North Fork Wine country. While focused on playing straight ahead, bee bop and classic jazz standards, the project soon became a platform for the growing portfolio of original tunes penned by Roberts in the tradition of The Great American Song Book.
ANYTHING BUT SURF
As the original architects of the "lounge chair rock" movement, original members Dave Rosenberg (lead guitar), Andrew Orlean (bass), and Joseph Pess (drums) deliver their reggae infused beach flavored surf rock instrumental versions of everyone’s favorite hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and today.
