Artist Bio
Founded in 2014, the SummerStrings! RockFest gives kids and teens who study orchestral stringed instruments the opportunity to play rock, blues, fiddling and improvisatory styles of music. Young musicians collaborate with a professional rock band to present a full-scale concert. This year’s guest artist is Roger Street Friedman and his band.
Roger Street Friedman is a singer-songwriter based in Sea Cliff, NY whose second album, Shoot the Moon, was released in January 2017. The album combines Americana, folk, blues and soul and is receiving rave critical reviews.
