Artist Bio

Cousin Fungus is a diverse jam/rock band that incorporates jazz, funk, and blues influence into its songwriting and live performances. The band attacks simple and complex compositions head on and improvises their way towards a climactic energy level.
The band is comprised of three brothers and a longtime friend. These four talents merge together, sometimes seamlessly in a smooth groove, sometimes explosively with electric friction, but ALWAYS taking the audience on an unpredictable and exciting ride.
In the mid 90’s as Stash, they were the preeminent Phish cover band in the country, drawing in rabid fans to get their fill of the Boys from Burlington. As the millennium turned they matured into their own skin as Cousin Fungus, and were one of the pioneers of the Jamband genre from which many of the contemporaries they played alongside emerged.
Cousin Fungus’ place in music history has been memorialized in the book, Jambands – The Complete Guide to the Players, Music & Scene (pg. 35-36) (Dean Budnick, 2003)

Irwen is a solo artist who has had many line up changes over the years. He mainly plays by himself but has been known to join in on show with bands he has performed with previously. The spelling of Irwen is defined as allusion within written text. It refers to a revolving door of musicians reaching over a 100 members that have shared the stage.
