Artist Bio
Sofus is a funky American jam band that fuses elements of rock, jazz, and psychedelia to create an enchantingly groovy new musical style.
Sofus is a New York City jam band that blends enchanting melodies, fat bass lines and funky grooves in order to create an irresistibly danceable new sound. Influenced by rock, jazz, funk, and folk, Sofus is an optimistic and modern take on the traditional American rock band.
The band consists of Mike “Merlin” O’Donnell on guitar and vocals, Mike Mirino on bass, Matt “Papa” Clements on keyboard and vocals, and Kurt Sommer on drums.
Sofus formed in the summer of 2013 and has been gathering a following through frequent live performances in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, Connecticut, upstate New York and Vermont.
